Went out to the hill today and it was nice and windy. Topped out at upper 20s. Fun riding.

I took a few hill runs today. Really nice wind. Counted seconds between a couple of street lights on the way down going fast, then a couple of runs in the car to get the speed between them — faster than 25mph — probably but less than 30. Best guess, conservatively, is 27mph. With a stronger wind 30 – 32 is for sure possible.

Took a couple of runs on the Gravity Kalai, and it handled really well at that speed. No problems at all. Took the other other funs (total of 7) on the Comet Pagan. Both were read. Really different, but rad.

My friend Sean got a Kalai last year, so I already kind of knew I’d like the board. I am used to Comet downhill boards, w have a lot of rocker. I love ‘em. But the Kalai is just such a nice board for turning. Really sweet.
